Our Core Programs
Building skills for success
AEH connects students to the 21st century skills necessary to thrive in today's global labor market. Our campus is equipped with a computer lab and internet access throughout all buildings.
Curriculum built on compassion
AEH students are taught to address pressing needs within their communities and nationwide. All are required to complete 200 hours of community service per year. Our philosophy focuses on educating the hearts along with the minds of each student.
Afterschool Activities
Along with our intellectually stimulating curriculum, athletics and art are important components of our holistic approach to education. AEH will include an outdoor sports complex for students to stay active and healthy after school and on weekends.
Raising future leaders
AEH's singular youth leadership program has been adapted nationwide in rural communities transforming ordinary classrooms into incubators for community leaders. AEH students will gain practical experience designing solutions to public health and economic challenges widely found in the rural context.
Sustainable Agriculture
All AEH students will come from families where agriculture has played a critical role in their lives for many generations. The children of small coffee producers or bean and corn farmers, our students arrive with a foundation of knowledge that will be enhanced at the academy. Student meals will be prepared using fresh organic produce sourced on campus and grown by students themselves.
